Print-Rite CEO Mr. Arnald Ho is featured on the exclusive interview of HKEAIA express’s October issue, and the CEO had plenty of industrial innovation stories to share, but we can’t get over one line he shared about the balance of technology and art – the Artify Gallery, which is based in Print-Rite Hong Kong head office.

The Artify Gallery has been a pioneer in converting industrial buildings into sites specifically designed for contemporary art, and this collaboration between art and technology is a beautiful example that injects creativity into the office!

Last year, the gallery hosted the first 3D printing exhibition Limitless Art Fantasy in Hong Kong.

Limitless Art Fantasy is the first 3D printing exhibition in Hong Kong that embodies the power of art and technology and displays the delicacy of 3D printing technology of Print-Rite. The exhibition featured 3D design group ZeroHundred, internationally renowned designers Steven Ma and Cyrus Mok. In the exhibition, ZeroHundred shared with the audience the core design concept of the two worlds, including machines settings, characters, buildings, weapons and transportations designs. The space motorbike with 1:1 size was also be displayed.

The concept of “Horse”, designed by Cyrus Mok, is a combination of paper folding art and the horse race memories of Hong Kongers since the British Hong Kong era. Cyrus realizes the shapes of, and injects energy to, galloping horses in order to bring the horses to life.

Internationally renowned designer Steven Ma designed a 3D Art Wall (4m X 2m) with his limitless power of imagination using 3D printing technology. The vivid wave patterns on the Art Wall were illuminated by LED lighting effects.

Advances in 3D printing technology have gone beyond the limits of design and can accomplish what normal materials cannot. Free from the confinement of traditional manufacturing technology, makes art perfectly matches technology. We believe the trends in 3D printing will be continue and will really make a great difference in the art world in the future.
