RoHS is the Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment of the European Union. The directrive restricts the use of six hazardous substances: cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated byphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
